There are pieces that hang quietly... and then there are pieces that cross you while you’re standing still.

This is a threshold.

Large abstract fiber wall hanging featuring hand-spun wool, needle-felted flowers, and cascading upcycled sari silk ribbons, blending soft neutral textures with vibrant florals and vertical movement in a sculptural textile artwork.

Not the kind you step over with your feet, but the kind your body recognizes before your mind has language for it—that trembling place between what was held together and what is finally allowed to loosen.

At the top, the world is still gathered. Wool spun thick, intention packed densely, color pressed into form like breath held too long. You can feel the structure there…the discipline of making, the containment, the shaping of something that refused to fall apart.

And then—

It releases.

Sari silks begin their descent like memory unraveling from the body. They do not drop; they spill—each strip carrying a past life, a former shape, a story once worn and now set free. They move like water, learning gravity, like prayer flags undone by time, like the quiet exhale after holding everything in for far too long.

Between these two states—between the held and the released—something extraordinary insists on blooming.

Needle-felted flowers rise from the softness like small acts of defiance. They are not delicate in the fragile sense…they are resilient, saturated, alive with layered color—violet bruised into magenta, blue softened by warmth, petals formed not from perfection but from persistence.

They do not decorate the piece. They claim it.

They are the moment something inside you says: even here… especially here… I will grow.

And anchored within it all, crystals catch the light like held intention—clear quartz for clarity, amethyst for quiet knowing—small, luminous reminders that transformation is not chaos without meaning, but change guided by something deeper than control.

This piece lives in tension, and that is its power. Structure and unraveling. Weight and drift.Holding and release.

It does not resolve those opposites—it lets them exist together, just as we do.

To bring this work into your space is not simply to hang art on a wall. It is to invite a living moment of transition—a tactile reminder that not everything that unravels is loss, and not everything that holds is strength.

Sometimes, the most honest beauty lives right there in between.

And at the edge of all of this—these fibers, these hours, this unfolding—I want to say thank you for being here, for taking the time to witness a piece that holds both structure and unraveling, both bloom and release. Supporting work like this, whether through sharing, collecting, or offering a donation, helps sustain the creation of one-of-a-kind fiber art rooted in hand-spun wool, needle-felted forms, and upcycled sari silk—work that exists slowly, intentionally, and often against the current of fast everything. If this piece, or this moment of transition it carries, resonates with you, your support truly matters. It allows me to continue creating sculptural textile art that speaks to transformation, to softness with strength, to the beauty of becoming. ✨
